FCI’s FLT93 Series move change reliably monitors the circulate and temperature of liquids, gases, and slurries. It is designed for pump wet/dry detection, where sudden, unexpected reductions in media flow rates can depart pumps susceptible to over-heating situations that shutdown process traces and require troubleshooting and fixing. The SIL2 rated instrument is intended for heavy-duty, potentially hazardous process trade environments and comes with a comprehensive listing of worldwide security approvals.
It has a no shifting components design and provides a sturdy scheme for pump protection with its twin alarm functionality. With Alarm 1, the switch detects a low move situation wherever between zero.01 and 3 ft per second FPS (0.003–0.9 m per second MPS). This low circulate alarm is a pre-warning signal for the management system or operator who can then decide to keep the pump working or to shut it down.
If an Alarm 2 happens because the feed line to the pump is running dry, this would be an emergency sign to shut down the pump immediately because the bearings now see gasoline as an alternative of a liquid as a warmth transfer media. In such conditions, the temperature of the bearings might rise very quick. Using a flow swap prevents everlasting harm to the pump’s bearings.
