KSB has announced the completion of its US$44 million multiphase growth of the GIW facility in Grovetown, Georgia, USA.

The first two phases of the growth were accredited in 2013 in response to growing market demand for bigger equipment. Since then, the Grovetown facility has accomplished upgrades, added tens of 1000’s of square ft to its foundry, increased furnace capability, completed building on a distribution centre, and received approval for three further phases of improvement.
With the completion of the project, KSB has quadrupled its capacity to mould castings over 20,000 lbs (9000 kg), increased its maximum pouring output by as much as 66,000 lbs (30,000 kg), lowered the number of required shot blast runs by 50%, added particular cleaning stations for giant castings, carried out new know-how and efficiency options, and doubled worker locker room services.

In 2020, the KSB Group launched KSB Mining, a brand new market-driven group offering experience on centrifugal pumps to mining operations.

GIW currently employs over 600 people at its Grovetown facility.
