Sulzer has introduced the launch of the world’s biggest medium-consistency pump, the MCE93-400, which has been built in response to buyer demand for larger manufacturing charges in pulp mills.
The pumping of liquids with a high dry solids content material – medium consistency – is crucial for processes within the pulp and paper trade.
In latest years, production rates have spiralled. As a end result, Sulzer developed the MCE93-400 for a buyer challenge with record-breaking values.
The capacity of the pump reaches as a lot as 10,000 air dry metric tonnes per day with the flow as a lot as 940 l/s and the top up to one hundred eighty m. The MCE pump is designed for a stress rating of 25 bar.
Jussi Heinonen, product supervisor for MC gear at Sulzer, mentioned: “The new MCE93-400 has been designed to operate effectively, saving energy, water and chemical costs in pulp and paper mill processes. The revolutionary design features of the pump minimise its life cycle costs.”
